Inside a Greenpoint Luxury Residential Tower — Architectural Photography
When I moved to New York City in 2017, Greenpoint was my first neighborhood. I didn’t know the city yet — didn’t know what kind of photographer I would become here, or what this place would ask of me. I just knew the light off the East River in the morning, the quiet of the side streets, the way Manhattan glittered across the water like a promise. Almost a decade later, based in Manhattan and working with some of the design world’s most extraordinary brands, I still feel something particular when a project brings me back to Greenpoint. A kind of full-circle recognition. This was where it started.
So when I was commissioned by a New York agency to photograph one of Brooklyn’s most beautifully considered new residential towers — right here in Greenpoint — it felt like more than just another job.
The brief was social media content, but the building itself demanded more than that. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame uninterrupted views of the Manhattan skyline and the East River. The spa and wellness facilities are serene and impeccably detailed. The residences balance warmth and luxury in a way that photographs beautifully — natural materials, considered proportions, spaces that feel genuinely elevated without announcing it.
The staff were exceptional throughout — accommodating, professional, and clearly proud of what they’re part of. That ease on set always comes through in the final images.
Residential tower photography requires a particular kind of patience. You’re working with available light across multiple floors and orientations, reading each space differently, waiting for the moment when the skyline does exactly what you need it to. This project had all of that — and the results speak for themselves.
If you’re a developer, architect, interior designer or agency working on a luxury residential project in New York City or beyond, I’d love to hear about it.
